Becoming a Thought Leader - Life Coach Marketing

As a life coach you should focus your energy on becoming the thought leader in your niche. One of the best ways to do this is through article marketing. This is for two reasons. It helps increase your website traffic and positions you as the expert in your chosen niche. There are several other methods you could use in generating website traffic. However, as you are a life coach, you should capitalise on your strength as a coach and share the wealth of information you have through article marketing.

Article marketing gets you more than just traffic to your website, it generates targeted traffic. If you offer fresh and informative content on your website regularly, you will be seen as the authority and expert in the life coaching niche you have targeted. Like anything in business you should plan your strategy in advance.

What kind of articles do you think will get the interest of your target audience?

How could you work towards being the thought leader and authority in your niche?

While your articles should focus on providing information that has relevance to your target market, you should also reveal some of your personality as a Life Coach. Perhaps you could use illustrations and examples from your own personal life. There will be a certain psychology behind your target market and you should understand this when writing your articles. However, don’t forget to be yourself. After all, your clients will be buying you as a person. You should write about the common challenges and problems the people in your niche are facing and offer viable solutions. As discussed in chapter four, story-telling and case studies are a great way to engage your audience.

What kind of relevant information could you post on your website?

What style of writing will you use to show your personality? (formal, informal, comical, etc)

What are the common problems being faced by your target market that you can provide solutions to?

In writing your articles, you should show your readers that you empathise with them and you understand their problems before providing solutions. There can sometimes be a fear for life coaches that they will provide all their most valuable content freely and have nothing more to give. In our experience, we have found this is a common fear that is never true. The more you give and get your creative thoughts flowing, the more you grow and actually increase the value you can provide others. The bottomline is, if you have interesting, valuable content on your website you will draw in many more potential clients who make your giving worth the effort.

How can you empathise with your target market?

Have you experienced being afraid of sharing too much for free? What can you do to overcome your fears?
