When is the best time to complete the Psychographic Profile?

Whenever you are looking to do a new design, adjust and old one or assess an existing design. You don’t need to be artistic but you do need to understand who you are (or want to be) as a business and what your brand should represent. When various people have input into the direction of the business, it is a good idea for each person to do the Psychographic Profile independently and compare the results.

Who should complete the Psychographic Profile?

Someone who understands the business strategic direction. You can also have a team of people complete it individually and compare the results. If a clear direction for the business is held by the whole team, very consistent results will be revealed. For a broad range of results you could select a variety of people within your company to see how the results compare across various departments.

How can such a quick and easy process deliver such accurate, useful results?

While the process is quick and easy to use it was by no means quick and easy to develop. The research and understanding of colours, fonts and shapes and how they impact on the subconscious mind has been extensive. We believe this process is completely unique to Omnific Design.

Can we take our Psychographic Profile and let other designers implement the results?

Absolutely. Just bear in mind they may find the process limiting their artistic flair. Most designers operate largely in an intuitive manner. At Omnific Design, we find the Psychographic Profile process enables us to create better, more informed designs that get the intended results. We would be happy to talk with you about how we can work with you. Working with us is like having a creative partner so in order to work well together we need to believe we can add value to your business. For this reason we are selective with who we work with.

Can I use the Psychographic Profile to assess my current design?

Please do. You may find the results are very interesting. 53% of the time we have found the current design will fit very much in line with the findings and other times it shows clients where adjustments could be made to improve the current designs performance.

Is the Psychographic Profile like popular personality profiles such as DISC but for business?

Our Psychographic Profile works in the reverse to most personality tests. Personality profiles are designed to identify who you are as a person. With our Psychographic Profile, you tell us who you are and we determine what colours, fonts and shapes best represent your brand.

By using the Psychographic Profile aren’t we limiting artistic flair?

Not at all. The first step in our process is purely mathematical. The second step involves interpretation and discretion. The third step, designing, is where our artistic talents really shine. By skipping the first two steps you risk creating a design that doesn’t work. By skipping the last step you will end up with a boring, unimaginative design.

There are so many shapes, fonts and colours to choose from, how can the Psychographic Profile assess them all?

We have divided the colour spectrum into ten colours, the fonts are divided into four groups as are the shapes. This will give you insight into what kind of design elements will work best for your business. You get a score for each colour, font and shape so you can gauge what level of importance you put on each of the results. The interpretation of the results by you and the designer is where the creative process comes together.

The Psychographic Profile would be great for my clients or people I know, can we use it?

What if I find the Psychographic Profile results are not helpful to our business?

This hasn’t happened before however if it did, let us know and we will refund your payment.
