How to Use Your Brand Personality To Grow

You can use your brand personality to attract new customers and retain existing clients. When you understand your brand personality you can use it to create awareness and promote your brand to your target market. Understanding your brand position will enable you to select appropriate media to reach your target market. Your brand strategy will determine your marketing mix.

Some tactics that can be useful in promoting your brand to increase your business growth include:

  • advertising

  • publicity

  • promotional material

  • web presence

  • sponsorship.

Retaining your customers is not easy because many other brands are also competing for the same target market. Your advantage is that your existing customers already have a relationship with you and have a level of trust associated with your brand, providing they were satisfied in the past. Remember, fear is a strong contributing factor in the consumer’s decision-making process.

Building an authentic brand where its personality matches its practice will build trust with customers and long lasting business relationships. If you choose to change your brand and its personality, be aware that this can cause confusion for existing customers—you could potentially lose them if you don’t manage the transition well.

Building a growing list of happy customers is your best marketing strategy; they will continue to purchase from you as well as refer more business to you.
